Where and When did I start?

Everyone asks me, "how did you gain interest in fitness?", or "where did you learn your nutrition?", "how did you learn at such a young age to keep yourself healthy?". It all started back in my sophomore year of high school. I was running track and playing volleyball with no knowledge in nutrition. I also had never touched a weight in my life! My mom, a figure competitor introduced me to the gym and I fell in love from the moment I lifted weights. It truly intrigued me how I could change my body so much. It still amazes me knowing how we have the ability to sculpt our bodies to look like anything we really wish to. This all comes with patience and consistency, though. I eventually was sponsored by my coach Kim Oddo and he took me under his wings. I competed in my first NPC bikini show at age 17 and I placed 3rd. I was bitten with the show bug and went on to do another show a few months later and placed 2nd in two categories. From there I was nationally qualified, and I went on to do my first national show and placed 1st in the NATION! It was so surreal. At those moments in time I had known that my hard work had paid off. All my efforts in and out of the gym had paid off! I had grown as an individual as well, and that was ultimately the greatest reward. I have grown to love health and fitness more than I ever thought I would. I have such a strong passion for it and I want to share it with you all!
